Il 17 novembre è la "Giornata internazionale del gatto nero". Qualche tempo fa ho ritrovato tra le scartoffie questo reperto archeologico, fatto chissà quanti secoli fa...è uno sgorbietto, ma appropriato alla situazione! Tanti auguri alla mia gattina nera Medea!

Questo è il primo progetto del CatOnTheMoon TOY.
Chiunque abbia creato un OC (credo...spero!) vorrebbe vederlo in 3D, o meglio ancora come un vero e proprio "giocattolo" da produrre in serie e disseminare nel mondo!
Io ho cominciato così: ho preso un MUNNY come base, resina epossidica bicomponente, premo, fil di ferro, vernice spray, taaaanta pazienza e ho cercato di creare la mia gattina stralunata! ∼^..^∼

Poi ho pensato anche alla confezione ed alla sua grafica, molto semplici e lineari:

Obiettivo: scatola per canvas toy.
Sviluppo: una semplice scatola quadrata in cartoncino bianco, con un foro di forma circolare sul coperchio da chiudere con un foglio di plastica trasparente. E' una scatola automontabile che può essere fornita stesa.
Materiali: cartoncino 280g.
Ed infine ho creato anche un custom cartaceo per permettere a me e a voi (se volete) di divertirci a personalizzare il personaggio ed inventarne di nuovi! E' un modello scaricabile e stampabile comodamente da casa in formato A4.

This is the first project of CatOnTheMoon TOY.

Anyone has created an OC (I believe…I hope!) would to see it in 3D, or better still like a real "toy" to produce in series and to scatter in the world!

I have begun in this way: I've taken a MUNNY like base, epoxide bimember resin, premo, spray color, wire, maaany patience and have tried to create my "stralunata" kitten! ∼^..^∼

Then I thought about the package and its graphic, very simple and linear:

C.O.T.M. TOY BOX Prototype >001

Objective: canvas toy box.

Development: a simple square box in a white cardboard, with a circular hole on the lid to be closed with a sheet of transparent plastic. It's an automount box that can be given lying.

Material: 280g cardboard. 

And finally I created also a paper custom to allow me and you (if you want) fun to customize the character and invent new ones! It's a model that can be downloaded and printed at home in A4 format.

Lussemburgo, dal 1990, il gatto ha la sua festa, che ricorre il 17 febbraio. Sono state le grandi associazioni feline del mondo a scegliere questa data perché il mese di febbraio è dominato da Urano, pianeta degli spiriti liberi e indipendenti, del genio e della sregolatezza, proprio come il gatto. Il 17, inoltre, fa parte della numerologia legata alla superstizione e alla magia, e l’anagramma di questo numero scritto in romano dà "VIXI"...e solo il gatto, che ha sette vite, può dire ‘ho vissuto’ da vivo. 

Ed io non potevo che contrubuire a quest'evento così speciale con un disegno a loro dedicato!

Luxembourg, since 1990, the cat has its own festival, which marks the 17th February. Were been the major cat associations in the world to choose this date because the month of February is dominated by Uranus, planet of free and independent spirits, of genius and recklessness, just like the cat. 

The 17 also is part of the numerology linked to superstition and magic, and the anagram of this number written in Roman gives "VIXI"...and the cat, that has seven lives, can say "I lived" alive.

And I could not help that event so special with a drawing dedicated to them!

Oggi è la "Giornata mondiale del gatto" e figuriamoci se potevo farmela scappare! ^.^

Quindi in pausa pranzo ho prodotto un disegnino tutto dedicato a questi splendidi animali, che io amo tanto. Pubblico per ora solo lo schizzo a matita perchè ho un pò da lavorare e non ho tempo per colorarlo subito, ma prometto che in serata apparirà la versione definitiva!

Today is "International Day for the Cat" and  I couldn't let it go! ^.^

So at lunch I produced a small drawing entirely dedicated to these beautiful animals that I love so much. Now I publish only the pencil sketch because I have a bit to work and I have no time to color it right away, but I promise that the final version will appear in the evening!

Da appassionata di calcio quale sono non potevo non rendere omaggio al nuovo Campionato del Mondo, così proprio nel giorno del suo inizio pubblico questa Fan Art con la mia gattina CatOnTheMoon come protagonista.

Chiedo scusa se la colorazione non è delle migliori ma ho fatto tutto di fretta  per poterla pubblicare in tempo e...questo è il meglio che sono riuscita a produrre..."step by step".

Spero sia di gradimento a tutti i calciofili e non solo!

Passionate of soccer which I am, I could not to pay homage to the new World Championship, so own in the day of its beginning I publish this Fan Art with my kitten CatOnTheMoon like protagonist. 

I find excuse if the coloration is not of the best ones but I have made all of haste in order to can publish it in time and… this is the best that I succeeded to produce…"step by step".

Venerdì mentre lavoravo ho sentito un gran bisogno di coccole e...in pausa pranzo ho prodotto questa piccola illustrazione. In effetti quando a casa ho voglia di un pò di tenerezza stringo il mio plushie Natalino_O, quindi ho cercato d'immaginare come l'avrebbe fatto la mia gattina CatOnTheMoon.

Data l'assenza prolungata e la situazione: aggiornamento doppio!  :)

Questo disegno l'ho fatto qualche tempo fa, appena mi è arrivata l'auto nuova, per esprimere tutta la mia felicità...quindi è rappresentata ancora intatta!

L'auto in questione è una Ford Fiesta di color magenta, proprio come la mia gattina (CatOnTheMoon), di conseguenza mi è sembrato carino fondere le due immagine e creare la COTM MOBILE.

I made this drawing some time ago, as soon as arrived to me my new car, in order to express all my happiness… therefore is represented still intact!

The car is a Ford Fiesta magenta color, own like my kitten (CatOnTheMoon), consequently seemed me pretty to fuse the two images and create the COTM MOBILE.

Ricordate anche voi le "Bambole da ritagliare"? Quelle belle sagomine di cartone d'altri tempi, da ritagliare e vestire.

Beh, io da bambina ne avevo di diversi tipi e mi piacevano davvero molto. Mi piacevano a tal punto che crescendo, quando nella testa mi è balenata l'idea di fare del mio OC CatOnTheMoon un Toy (ma questa è un'altra storia che poi vi racconterò...), una delle prime cose a cui ho pensato è stata quella di crearne una tutta mia!

E fu così che un bel giorno, C.O.T.M. custom alla mano, iniziai a vestirlo e...questo è il risultato: CUT the C.O.T.M.

Did you remember "Paper Dolls"? Those beautiful little cardboard shapes by the past, to cut and dress.

Beh, when I was a child I had various types and I liked them very much. I liked them such that growing up, when flashed into my mind the idea to make a Toy of my OC CatOnTheMoon  (but this is another story that I will tell to you successively…), one of the first things that I thought has been to create one of them all mine!

So one day,  C.O.T.M. custom at hand, I started to dress it and...this is the result: CUT the C.O.T.M.

SALVALAVITA MEDEA

Quest'oggi voglio fare un tributo alla mia meravigliosa gatta domestica, di nome Medea.

L'idea mi è venuta quando mia mamma mi ha raccontato un aneddoto accaduto che questo stesso pomeriggio. Dopo pranzo lei si era andata a riposare un attimo sul divano, passate alcune decine di minuti la gatta le si avvicina ed inizia a miagolare insistentemente, cosa molto strana per lei che solitamente è di pochissime parole. "Mamauu, mamauu, mamauuauuauuauu..." fatto sta che mia madre si è alzata e l'ha seguita. Quando è arrivata in cucina si è accorta di aver dimenticato una pentola d'acqua sul fuoco e che questa ormai era completamente asciutta : col pericolo di incendiare casa!

C'è chi dice che i gatti domestici non servono a nulla, anche noi a volte ci scherziamo dicendole d'imparare a cucinare o a lavare i piatti. Ma oggi la micina ci ha dato una bella lezione e ci ha fatto capire di essere stata più che utile : indispensabile!

Today I want to do a tribute to mine wonderful domestic cat, called Medea.

The idea come to me when my mother told me an anecdote that happened this same afternoon. After lunch she gone to take a rest on the sofa, some tens of minuts after the cat approaches itself and begins to mew insistently, a thing much strange for it that usually is of least words. "Mamauu, mamauu, mamauuauuauuauu..." the fact is that my mother stood up and followed it. When they arrived into the kitchen she perceived to have forgotten a pot of water on the fire and that by now  it was completely dry : with the danger to set afire the house!

Someone says that the domestic cats aren't use to nothing, also we sometimes joke saying it learn to cook or to wash the plates. But today the kitten gave us a lesson and it made us to understand to be more than useful: indispensable!

Sono ancora un pò latitante, causa Carnevale Ambrosiano (vale a dire fino a sabato prossimo), ma ho promesso a me stessa di postare con una certa frequenza, quindi ecco un aggiornamento veloce.

Oggi vi presento CatOnTheMoon il mio OC, nonchè alterego, da cui prendo il nome.

E' il personaggio a cui ovviamente sono più legata, non solo perchè m'identifica, ma anche perchè racchiude in se due delle cose che amo di più : i felini e l'astronomia. Nato in un caldo e tedioso pomeriggio estivo, perchè... dove potrebbe andare una gattina curiosa per sfuggire alla noia e starsene un poco al fresco? Sulla Luna naturalmente!

I'm still in hiding, owing to the Ambrosian Carnival (that untill the next saturday), but I have promised me that I'll post with a sure frequency, therefore here a fast update.

Today I introduce you CatOnTheMoon my OC, as well as mine alterego, from which I take the name.

It's obviously the character to which more I'm tied, not only because it identifies myself, but also because it encloses in itself two of the things that I love more : felines and astronomy. It was born in a warmth and boring summery afternoon, because… where could go a curious kitten in order to escape to the tedium and stay a little to the coolness? On the Moon naturally!
